Back in 2019, Bragg Live Foods—maker of Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar (my go-to favorite)—was purchased by a group of investors, including Swander Pace Capital, Dragoneer Investment Group (about which I can find no real information), and pop star Katy Perry and her husband Orlando Bloom. Hayden Slater, the founder of Pressed Juicery, is also a co-investor.
For 65 years, founder Dr. Paul C. Bragg’s daughter, Patricia Bragg, N.D., Ph.D., has served as CEO of the company. She has publicly said this investment partnership is about being able to bring Bragg’s apple cider vinegar and the company’s wide portfolio of health and wellness products including amino acids, nutritional yeast, dressings, seasonings and ready to drink products to a wider market.
Interestingly, Patricia Bragg gave Katy Perry her first guitar when she was a child. Katy Perry has stated that Patricia has been a part of her family forever and they are aligned in Bragg’s mission to “make the world a healthier and better place.”
Personally, this feels “off” to me.
But the good news is, it’s easy to make your own apple cider vinegar. Here is my easy solution and brief tutorial for making your own.
My personal plan is to start taking a shot a day!
Flourishingly yours,
